I saw a snake today just beside the path where I was walking and had an immediate panic response: heart jumped, sharp breath intake, and mental shock. It was a very small and harmless snake. I’m not afraid of snakes at all but was a bit surprised at such a strong automatic body-mind response. How would such reactions lessen in time with more wise reflection? What’s a good subject for scary stuff reflection?
