During the retreat I've had two major insights. The first one was triggered by trying to ask a question, the second came through answers to questions from other meditators. I am mainly wondering about the second case, was it only an intellectual insight? In the end insights which are gained through reflections are gained through thinking. What's the connection to my meditation practice? Can you give an example of an insight that directly results from meditation? How can I distinguish between reflecting during meditation and just thinking, trying to figure something out?

How can we practice with the five aggregates in formal meditation? And if we can, why would we do that?
