Welcome

Rosemary & Steve outside Germany

Rosemary & Steve Weissman's approach to meditation is to encourage an overall and balanced mind development practice, methods people can use any moment of the day to find more inner happiness.

They emphasize developing mindfulness linked to a compassionate, lovingkind attitude towards ourselves and others. This objective, yet gentle practice, helps us in gaining Insight into our own nature and the laws of Nature; developing a deep Compassionate Understanding of the origins of difficulties and stress, and how to end them.

In 1987, Rosemary & Steve traveled to Wat Kow Tahm (Mountain Cave Monastery) International Meditation Center, Koh Pah-ngan Island, Thailand, only intending to do three weeks of personal practice there. Yet since they carried with them a letter of introduction from a prominent Abbot of another monastery, the Head Nun, Mae Chee Ahmon, welcomed them enthusiastically, and asked them to teach the many tourists who wanted to learn meditation.

As the number of people seeking instruction grew, she asked Steve & Rosemary if they would teach formal retreats, and they began the Retreat program with a 10-day retreat in May, 1988.

After being resident teachers for 25 years, with over 8,000 students from over 85 countries, Rosemary & Steve taught their last retreat at Wat Kow Tahm in March, 2013 and moved back to Australia.

Besides teaching in the Gold Coast, Australia, their current teaching schedule includes two European retreat centres.
